PILAR DIBUJITO

Editorial/Poster design

You can find me drinking mate, stealing plants from the street, or drawing in my studio.

I am Pilar Dibujito (Pilar Veiga, La Plata, 2000), and in 2018, I came to live in Buenos Aires and study Graphic Design at UBA, a degree that I am about to complete, and where I was a teaching assistant for two years.

During that time, I started illustrating and didn’t stop, traversing various graphic styles, more editorial, more childlike, until I reached my current project: Filatelia Argentina, a series of illustrated stamps that seek to vindicate Argentine popular culture and rethink which icons and symbols represent us as a country. Simultaneously, along with my partner Jeremías Madrazo, we founded a graphic studio called Estudio Chinchulín in the Tribunales neighborhood, where we create all the products that stem from these illustrations: stickers, t-shirts, prints in various techniques, and more. Simultaneously, we annually create the Café con Dos Medialunas Index in Buenos Aires, a compilation of prices contributed by internet users that we then reflect in an infographic. And my next ongoing project: Numismática Argentina, the illustrated reversion of all Argentine banknotes.
